Inconceivable!

Inconceivable!

In James 1:14-15, James explained the process that leads to the birth of sin.

“Each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin.”

It’s interesting to note that temptation isn’t something that enters into people; rather, people enter into temptation.

Jesus instructed His disciples to ask God to not lead them “into temptation” (Luke 11:4; Matthew 6:13).

As Jesus entered the garden to pray, He warned His disciples against entering “into temptation” (Luke 22:46; Matthew 26:41).

Paul told Timothy that those who desire to be rich fall “into temptation” (1 Timothy 6:9).

How does one enter the womb of temptation?
By pursuing worldly desires (James 1:14)
By holding onto those worldly desires and refusing to let go of them

What happens once one has entered into the womb of temptation?
Those worldly desires gestate, continuing to grow until sin is delivered (James 1:15).

How can one escape the womb of temptation before sin is delivered?
Rest in the fact that, according to 2 Peter 2:9, “the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation.”Take advantage of the way of escape which God has provided (1 Corinthians 10:13).

The Christian can rejoice in knowing that God can deliver souls from the power of darkness (Colossians 1:13).
The Christian can be eternally grateful that Jesus gave Himself up in order to deliver His children from this present age (Galatians 1:4).
The Christian can look forward to the final delivery when Jesus delivers the kingdom to God the Father (1 Corinthians 15:24).
