For the last 2 years, Graeber Road has had an active presence on the campus of George Jr. High School. Consider the following efforts the Graeber Road congregation has been involved in:
pare lunch for all the teachers and staff at the building.
2. In October we attend their “Trunk or Treat” and pass out candy along with Bible bookmarks, information sheets, and evangelism material.
3. In December we give a little something to the teachers before the year ends.
4. In January during another “in-service” we bring breakfast to the teachers and staff and have a prayer with all who want to participate.
5. Near the end of the year, the “Graeber Jolly Train” makes a visit to gift each teacher with their favorite snack/candy/drink along with an encouraging note to let them know God loves them, and we do too.
6. We have provided our annex for off-campus staff training.
7. Perhaps the greatest effort, however, is the weekly Bible study we have before school starts. Students and teachers come for a 7-15 minute devo. We provide the same Bible for everyone for understanding and training. At the end of the year, we gift them these Bibles. In the front is a message from Graeber Road telling them of God’s love for them. In the back is a study series that leads them through the Gospel Plan of Salvation. We finished our Bible studies last week. Spring break starts followed by weeks of testing. The excitement from the students of getting to take home the Bible they’ve been studying with is heartwarming to say the least. This year, we even had a few teachers ask if they too could take a Bible! Graeber Road is having an impact at George Jr. High!
Galatians 6:9-10 says, “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.” To the Corinthians, Paul would write, “Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain” (1 Cor. 15:58). A huge thank you to all those who have helped spread the Gospel at George Jr. High! My prayer is that you will continue to have even more impact as you change lives and draw people nearer to God.
