Dear Brethren,
It is my prayer that you and your family and the church family there are in good health and that you are all safe in the hands of the Lord.
We were able to study with our new brethren for their spiritual growth during the first two weeks of March and also visited those who were sick and in need of edification because of some struggles and hardships in life. We were also able to gather for church services at the church building for the first three Sundays last month since the virus had not yet reached our place. However, after a couple of days, there were already cases of COVID-19 in Pangasinan. At this time, just in our province of Pangasinan alone, there were already 16 cases of death, 27 positive/confirmed cases, 75 persons under investigation, and 84,000 persons under monitoring.
We have been under an enhanced community quarantine since the middle of last month, and our government said that this will continue until the middle of April to prevent the spread of COVID-19. My family and I and the church family here are doing fine, but because of the enhanced community quarantine, only one person per family is allowed thrice a week to go out and buy food and medicines. We can go to the market in those days, but not to other villages, towns or cities. Since we cannot meet yet at the church building for our services, we encourage our brethren to have house worship until the enhanced community quarantine in our town will be lifted.
In spite of what is happening in the world right now, we continue to trust in the merciful God who is in control of everything.
Thank you all so much for your continued love, prayers, concern, and support in these difficult and challenging times.
Let us continue to remember each other in our prayers.
Yours because of Calvary,
Roberto Indong
