How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!” 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. -Romans 10: 14-17 “
But they have not all obeyed the gospel.” The gospel is “the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes…” (Romans 1:16)
In just under two months, Brother Eddie Cloer is going to preach a gospel meeting for us – October 10 – 12 . Brother Cloer has devoted his life to getting the message of the gospel to all who will hear it both domestically and internationally. Through his Truth for Today World Mission School, he has developed a means by which good, sound Bible material has been made available in all of the major languages of the world. And he has made available the opportunity whereby any person anywhere in the world can do an in-depth study through the entire Bible using the internet.
What will this gospel meeting accomplish? Well, we are confident that Brother Cloer will present compelling messages concerning the salvation God has made available to us through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. What remains to be seen is, “Who will hear the messages?”
Let’s all begin praying daily for Brother Cloer. Let’s all begin thinking and praying about friends and neighbors and family members we can invite to come and hear the gospel. Let’s invite them to come! And let’s all plan to be here to meet and encourage any visitors we might have!
In addition to our gospel meeting, Brother Cloer is going to hold an Evangelism Workshop for us on Saturday morning, teaching us an approach to teaching someone the gospel that he has found to be very effective.
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, For they are already white for harvest! John 4:35
To God be the glory!
