How one will answer this question WILL mold and shape their view of life, for the rest of their life and usher them into eternity. If God does not exist, then our lives will cease to have meaning outside of ourselves and there will be no absolute standard of right or wrong for us. On the other hand, if one comes to know that there is a God, then determining His will and His revelation He has made becomes an issue of great importance. Consider these truths:
•We can KNOW for certain that there is a God and He has made a revelation of Himself to man for proper living.
•We can KNOW that the Bible is God’s revelation and the only absolute standard by which one can live.
•We can KNOW that atheism and the fruits of it are a complete falsehood and destructive to morality and the building blocks of a healthy society.
•We can KNOW that theistic evolution is equally destructive and will lead only to confusion and disobedience to God our Creator.
•We can KNOW that the Bible is not a book of contradictions.
•We can KNOW why evil, pain, and suffering exist.
•We can KNOW that Jesus Christ was who He said He was, and KNOW the truth of ALL of the miraculous events of His life.
•We can OBEY the scripture: I Peter 3:15, “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.”
Often Christians have been afraid to look for any evidence ourselves for fear of what we may find. Skilled writers are producing articles every day trying to break down our faith in God and His Son Jesus Christ. However, as the psalmist said, “the heavens are telling the glory of God, the wonder of His works display the firmament.” The evidence for God is all around us. It is nothing that we have to take “on faith.” Examine this evidence and it will lead to the only conclusion to which an open and honest heart can come: There is a God, He is alive, in Him we live and we survive, from dust our God created man, He is our God, the great I AM.
