It is a wonderful time of the year. We have just celebrated the Thanksgiving Holidays where many of us enjoyed Family time. We are in the midst of Christmas celebrations and reflections. Many are looking for ways to spread joy and cheer to others, through care packages or caroling or other acts of service.
What is such a wonderful time for many of us may also be a very difficult time for others. Holidays often stir intense memories and feelings toward loved ones we have lost.These can be times of grief and sadness. May we be attentive to those who may need extra prayers or encouragement during this time.
Whatever our immediate circumstance of life, we would do well to learn from David’s perspective displayed in this beautiful song of thanksgiving.
May we all seek the Lord and His strength! May we all seek His presence continually (v.11). May we be overwhelmed with the need to thank Him, to call upon His name, to tell others about Him, to sing praises to Him and to rejoice in Him!
