Students in school and disciples of Christ (cf. Mt. 28:18-20) desire to look at life the way God looks at life. Consider carefully some of God’s thoughts on life:
Proverbs 19:21 – Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
Proverbs 20:19 – Whoever goes about slandering reveals secrets; therefore do not associate with a simple babbler.
Proverbs 20:22 – Do not say, “I will repay evil”; wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you. Proverbs 21:2 – Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the heart.
Proverbs 21:21 – Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life, righteousness, and honor.
Proverbs 26:20 – For lack of wood the fire goes out, and where there is no whisperer, quarreling ceases.
Proverbs 27:6 – Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.
Proverbs 29:22 – A man of wrath stirs up strife, and one given to anger causes much transgression.
Proverbs 28:13 – Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy.
Proverbs 29:22 – A man of wrath stirs up strife, and one given to anger causes much transgression.
Brethren, I plead with you to remember the God-inspired words of Peter: Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins (1 Pet. 4:8).
